Training in Directing and Producing

Directing and producing are vital in science communication to transform raw data into engaging narratives, bridging the gap between experts and the public. Directing shapes the story, determining tone, focus, and emotional impact, which ensures complex information is relatable rather than alienating. Producing manages the medium, transforming research into accessible videos, podcasts, or visuals, which increases audience reach and retention. Together, they ensure accuracy while driving engagement, crucial for fostering trust, influencing public behavior, and informing policy. These roles transform science from technical jargon into impactful storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
