Training in Data Management

Data management is critical for business, ensuring data security, efficiency, and informed decision-making. In scientific research, it is paramount for reproducibility, ensuring raw data is preserved, validated, and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Proper management prevents data loss, reduces duplication, and helps meet funder compliance requirements, maintaining research integrity. In videography, it is essential for protecting massive, often unrepeatable, digital assets (footage and audio). A strong workflow—using checksums, consistent backups, and metadata—prevents catastrophic data loss, speeds up post-production, and ensures efficient, organized workflows. Overall, effective management transforms data into a secure, valuable asset rather than a liability.
