In videography, it is essential for protecting massive, often unrepeatable, digital assets (footage and audio). A strong workflow—using checksums, consistent backups, and metadata—prevents catastrophic data loss, speeds up post-production, and ensures efficient, organized workflows. Overall, effective management transforms data into a secure, valuable asset rather than a liability.
