Training in Data Capture
Data capture and photogrammetry are vital for creating "digital twins" of the physical world, allowing researchers to document fragile or inaccessible environments—like coral reefs—with millimetre precision. These techniques transform 2D images into accurate 3D models, providing a permanent, non-invasive record for long-term biodiversity monitoring and temporal analysis. In communication, these models turn abstract data into tangible visuals. Using photogrammetry, scientists can transport the public into immersive virtual environments, fostering ocean literacy through direct visual evidence of environmental change. This high-fidelity storytelling builds public trust by making scientific evidence undeniably visible and interactive.
Below is a list of the qualifications that we offer in Data Capture
Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services (Electives on Data Capture) (coming soon)
Diploma of Spatial Information Services (Electives on Data Capture) (coming soon)
