Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of urban populations and natural environments are essential for fostering sustainable, resilient, and livable cities. By providing evidence-based data, M&E tracks progress toward sustainability goals, identifies environmental risks like heat islands or habitat loss, and evaluates the impact of interventions such as urban greening. This process allows policymakers to make informed decisions, optimize resource management, and adapt to changing demographics or climate threats. Ultimately, M&E ensures accountability to stakeholders, improves policy effectiveness, and protects both ecosystem health and human well-being by facilitating, for instance, informed urban planning and disaster risk reductions.

Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, is a data scientist with over 20 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation. Insight is actively involved in our Own Research into monitoring and evaluation within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. We also have a gallery of some of the photos and videos that we have captured on Engineering, Natural Resource Management, and Community Development.

Training is organized by the Insight Training College. Insight is based within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, is a committee member with Engineers Australia and Australian Science Communicators. Insight is a member of Experience Gold Coast.
