Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct

The Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct (GCHKP) is a 200-hectare world-class innovation hub in Southport, QLD, uniting health, research, and technology. Anchored by the 750-bed Gold Coast University Hospital, Gold Coast Private Hospital, and Griffith University, it fosters collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs.

  • Griffith University: A top 2% global university providing research and education in health and science.

  • Hospitals: The Gold Coast University Hospital and Private Hospital provide advanced clinical care and research opportunities.

  • Lumina: A 9.5-hectare commercial cluster, Lumina is the precinct’s development arm, offering specialized spaces for life sciences, tech, and medtech companies, including the RDX facility.

  • The Smith Collective: A vibrant, purpose-built residential community providing housing for residents, students, and workers within the precinct.

With over 16,000 workers and 20,000 students, the GCHKP is a premier, thriving ecosystem designed to transform healthcare and drive economic growth.
