Training in Computer Programming
Computer programming is the fundamental engine of modern science, enabling researchers to automate data collection and perform complex statistical analysis on datasets far too large for manual processing. By writing custom code, scientists can build bespoke simulations and mathematical models that predict everything from climate patterns to viral outbreaks with high precision. For communication, programming allows for the creation of interactive data visualisations and web-based tools that let the public explore research findings firsthand. This transparency fosters reproducibility—a core tenet of the scientific method—and transforms static results into dynamic, accessible digital stories.
Below is a list of the qualifications that we offer in Computer Programming.
Certificate III in Information Technology (Electives on Computer Programming) (coming soon)
Certificate IV in Information Technology (Electives on Computer Programming) (coming soon)
Diploma of Information Technology (Electives on Computer Programming) (coming soon)
We also provide consultancy services in Computer Programming.
Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, is a computer engineer with over 25 years of experience. Insight has a whole Division established for Data Science and Information Technology, and computer programming is at the heart of our research projects. We also have a gallery of some of the photos and videos that we have captured on Our Research and Information Technology.
Training is organized by the Insight Training College. Insight is based within the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, is a committee member with Engineers Australia and Australian Science Communicators. Our staff are members of the Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA).
